About us D A Lindsay & Sons are a family-owned and -managed funeral directors and monumental craftsmen based in Croydon, Surrey.

David Lindsay comes from a line of funeral directors dating back over 80 years.

David made a decision to open his own independent funeral directors with his wife Kim as they feel they can offer a more personal service to the local community. As family funeral directors we pride ourselves in our ability to serve the local community and be part of that community.

Being independent means that the funeral directors is owned by the family and not a large corporate conglomerate with boards of directors dictating procedure from afar.

Some large corporations in the nineties purchased many family funeral directors, maintaining the family name, thus deceiving the general public.

Every funeral D A Lindsay & Sons conduct is special. We take great pride in all our facilities, from our funeral home to our staff who will help and guide you in all aspects of the funeral arrangements.

Traditionally, funerals commence with a church service or a gathering at the funeral directors or family home followed by a ceremony at the crematorium or cemetery.
