Reasons To Stay There are many reasons why you may be considering a visit to Stratford-upon-Avon. Its Shakespearean charm attracts people of all ages for relaxing short breaks, or as a base for theatre-goers, or for touring beautiful Warwickshire in the Heart of England and nearby Cotswolds villages such as Chipping Campden and Broadway just 30 minutes drive away.
¦ Stratford-upon-Avon nestles along the banks of the River Avon and just to the north of the Cotswold Hills.



It is the home of the world-famous Royal Shakespeare Company with its theatre where there are Shakespearean and classical plays throughout the year with world-class performers.



Stratford also has a vibrant shopping centre and also hosts 5 Shakespearean Houses, which are open to the public (three of which are in town and the other two are nearby with a hop-on, hop-off bus service running thoughout the day).
